Local SEO in Richardson, TX means getting your Google Business Profile, citations, service pages and reviews right for two kinds of searchers: homeowners, and the offices along the US-75 Telecom Corridor. I set it up for service businesses from $600, then keep it moving with a monthly plan from $300.
Google ranks local results on relevance, distance and prominence. In Richardson the person searching might be at a desk on the Telecom Corridor or at home across town, and that changes which businesses Google puts in front of them.
| Who is searching | Where they are | What decides who shows up |
|---|---|---|
| Office or facility manager | On the 6.5-mile strip of US-75 between I-635 and the Bush Turnpike, home to more than 5,700 companies. The city lists State Farm, Raytheon, RealPage and BlueCross BlueShield of Texas among its major employers. | How close you are to that office, and whether your profile, services list and site plainly say you take commercial work. |
| Homeowner | Anywhere in a city that runs from the Lake Highlands edge of Dallas up into Collin County. About two-thirds of Richardson is in Dallas County. | Distance first. After that, reviews from jobs nearby and a page that matches the exact job they typed. |
| Someone near CityLine or UT Dallas | Up by the Bush Turnpike, where the DART Silver Line has stopped at UT Dallas and CityLine/Bush since October 25, 2025. | This is the Plano line, so Plano companies are close too. If you take Plano work, list it as a service area and give it its own page. |
Google is blunt about one thing: there is no way to pay for a better local ranking. You can work on relevance (categories, services, pages) and prominence (reviews, links, mentions). Distance you can't change, which is why your service area and city pages have to be honest about where you work.
The full service is on my local SEO for service businesses page. Here is how each part changes when your customers include both households and offices.
Google allows one profile per business, so that one profile has to work for a facility manager and a homeowner. I pick the primary category for the work you want most, add secondary categories for the rest, and write a services list that names office jobs separately from home jobs.
Same name, address and phone on Google, Apple, Bing, Yelp, the BBB and your trade directories. Richardson shares the 214, 469, 972 and 945 overlay with Dallas, so the area code won't make you look local. A number that matches everywhere makes you look like one business.
One page for office and retail work that names the corridor and the kinds of buildings you service. Then one page per main home job. Two audiences, two sets of pages, one site.
A short review link you send after every job. Ask office clients to mention the type of work and the building; that is the language the next office manager searches with.
Local SEO works best on a site built for it. If yours needs work, start with the web design page.

One-time setup: profile cleanup, categories and services, citations, on-page fixes and your first city or service pages.
After that, a monthly plan if you want one: $300 a month for two posts, or $550 a month for two posts plus link outreach. I go after links from real local and trade sites, but I can't promise how many land.
Get a fixed quotePick the primary category for the work you most want calls for, then add secondary categories for the rest. Categories say what kind of business you are; the services list is where office jobs and home jobs get named separately. Don't add a category for work you don't actually do, even if the corridor is full of buyers for it.
Only if it is a real place where you work. Google does not allow virtual offices or remote mailboxes on a Business Profile, and a profile built on one can be suspended. If you do have staff at an office along US-75, that address is a real advantage for searches nearby.
Yes. When your profile, your site and the directories show different addresses, Google and customers both get mixed signals about where you are. Fix the Business Profile first, then the site, then every directory that still has the old suite. If customers don't come to your office at all, Google's guidance is to remove the address and set a service area instead.
Google doesn't say it treats them differently. Its help page says more reviews and positive ratings can help your local ranking. Where office reviews add something is in what they say: a review that names the building type and the work tells the next facility manager you have done that kind of job.
Use things only a Richardson page can say: jobs you did here, photos from them, the roads and landmarks your customers know, and whether you work the office side of town, the homes, or both. Pages that just swap the city name tend to get ignored by Google, and customers notice too.
