Local SEO in Dallas means showing up in the Google map pack for the part of the city you actually serve. Dallas covers 339.58 square miles across five counties, so a profile based in Oak Cliff is a long way from a searcher in Lake Highlands. I set up your Google Business Profile, citations, service pages and reviews, from $600.
Google sorts local results by relevance, distance and prominence. With 1,329,491 residents (Census, July 2025) spread over five counties, distance does most of the sorting, and the freeways and the Trinity River cut the city into markets that barely overlap.
| Part of Dallas | What it means in Maps | What I'd set up |
|---|---|---|
| Uptown and Oak Lawn | Dense blocks with lots of businesses close together, so many profiles fight over the same short distance. | The right primary category, real job photos and reviews that name the job. |
| Oak Cliff and Bishop Arts | Southwest of downtown, across the Trinity River. People searching here are shown businesses near them, not ones in North Dallas. | If you're based here, lean in: an Oak Cliff page and service areas south of the river. |
| Lake Highlands and East Dallas | Northeast, along LBJ and around Lakewood and Lower Greenville. | Service areas that follow the routes your crews drive, not a circle drawn around downtown. |
| Pleasant Grove | A large southeastern neighborhood. A business based in North Dallas is a long way from these searchers. | A separate area page only if you do real work here, with jobs to show. |
| Preston Hollow and North Dallas | Up toward Richardson and Plano, so suburban businesses show up in the same results. | Citations and pages that make clear you cover the Dallas side and the suburbs. |
None of these are tricks. They're the local facts a Dallas profile and site should be built around.
Locals say LBJ, Central and Stemmons more often than I-635, US-75 and I-35E. The High Five, where LBJ meets Central, is a real line for a lot of crews. Set service areas and area pages around the roads you actually drive, and leave out the parts of town you won't go to.
Per Census QuickFacts, and about 41% speak a language other than English at home (2019 to 2023). A Spanish service page belongs in the plan from day one, and so do Spanish replies to Spanish reviews if someone on your crew can write them.
On April 27, 2026 the National Weather Service logged hail up to teacup size, with the largest reports in northeast Dallas, Rockwall and Hunt counties. Texas had 878 major hail events in 2024, the most of any state. Roofers and restoration companies need storm pages ready before spring.
The same four jobs as my local SEO service for service businesses, set up for the part of Dallas you work in.
Categories, services, hours and photos, plus a service-area setup if customers don't come to you. Your home address stays hidden, the way Google asks.
Your name, address and phone identical on Apple Maps, Bing, BBB and Yelp, and on the Dallas Regional Chamber or Greater Dallas Hispanic Chamber member directories if you belong.
One page per service, then pages for the parts of Dallas and the suburbs you really cover. Each one says something true about that area, so it isn't the same page with a new name.
A short review link and the habit of sending it after every job. No discounts for reviews and no filtering out unhappy customers: Google's policy bans both.
Renting an address to look local is tempting when you work from home. It can also get a profile suspended.
A virtual office only counts if it's staffed during business hours. A coworking office needs clear signage. P.O. boxes and remote mailboxes are out.
If you drive to customers, a service-area profile with the address hidden and honest service areas. If you have a real office or shop, that address, shown publicly.
The website half: pages, speed and calls. Built to work with the local SEO on this page.
Web design in DallasA city boxed in by four highways, with neighbors at every edge.
Local SEO in PlanoRight on the Dallas line, between North Dallas and Plano.
Local SEO in RichardsonEast of Lake Highlands, across LBJ.
Local SEO in GarlandReal results from other industries. The same kind of work in other markets: Bus24, a passenger transport company in Poland, grew organic traffic 300% after its redesign and on-page SEO, and Sonder Services, a Google Ads agency, grew organic traffic 260% off a low base.
Here's what clients say after working with me.

I design, build and look after every site myself, from the first call to launch and after. No account managers and no hand-offs, so the person you talk to is the person doing the work. 30+ projects for small businesses in 12+ countries.
“Calls and bookings are up 20x within a few months of launch, traffic has jumped massively, and I'm ranking higher on Google with far more engagement.”

One-time setup: profile, citations, your first service and area pages, and a review link.
After that, monthly retainers start at $300 a month for content only, or $550 a month with link outreach. I can't guarantee links or rankings, and I'll tell you which plan is worth it for your part of Dallas.
Get a fixed quoteOnly if it meets Google's rules. A virtual office has to be staffed during business hours, and a coworking office needs clear signage. If you work from home and drive to customers, set up a service-area profile and hide the address instead.
It can show up in both, but it ranks strongest near where the business is based. Distance is one of Google's three local ranking factors and nothing on the profile overrides it. Area pages and reviews from jobs on the far side of town help at the edges.
No. They're separate cities surrounded by Dallas, and so is Cockrell Hill. If you work there, add each one as its own service area and mention it on your Dallas page. People who live there use their own city name, not Dallas.
Ask every new caller where the job is and keep a simple tally. Your Google profile's performance report shows the searches people used to find you and the calls it sent, and Search Console shows which of your pages get found. In a city this size, that tally tells you which area page to build next.
Before the spring storms, not after. The April 27, 2026 storm dropped hail up to teacup size in northeast Dallas. Build the page, add photos of real repairs, and keep one profile: a second listing just for storm work breaks Google's one-profile rule.
