Bus24, a passenger transportation company, had an outdated website that was not attracting any traffic. The goal was to give the website a new life, maintaining the brand identity while transforming it into a modern, user-friendly platform.

Objective

To redesign the Bus24 website, making it attractive, easy to use, and optimized for performance, while keeping it consistent with the company’s existing brand colors.

Strategic Design Approach

  • Competitor Analysis: Evaluated competitors to understand market standards and user expectations.
  • Website Audit: Identified underperforming or outdated elements in the existing site that needed updating or removal.
  • Design and Development: Focused on creating a visually appealing and navigable website layout using Figma, followed by development on WordPress with good SEO practices in mind to ensure visibility.

Process and Execution

Week 1 - 2
Research & Discovery
  • Competitor Analysis: Conducted in-depth evaluations of competing websites to establish benchmarks for design, functionality, and SEO practices. This analysis helped identify market trends and set clear objectives for the redesign.
  • Website Audit: Performed a comprehensive audit of the existing Bus24 site, identifying outdated content, underperforming pages, and areas lacking SEO efficiency. This assessment informed the strategic planning on what elements to retain, modify, or remove.
Week 3
Wireframe Development and User Feedback
  • Wireframe Development: Developed initial wireframes using Figma, focusing on optimizing user experience and ensuring intuitive navigation. Presented these wireframes to the client for feedback, incorporating suggestions into subsequent iterations.
  • User Feedback: Engaged potential users in feedback sessions to gather insights and validate design choices, ensuring the final product would meet user expectations and improve user engagement.
Week 4 - 5
Website Development and SEO Integration
  • Website Development: Constructed the redesigned site on WordPress, integrating a user-friendly layout and maintaining the brand’s iconic color scheme. Ensured that the development was responsive and accessible across all devices.
  • SEO Integration: Implemented foundational SEO practices to enhance discoverability, focusing on keyword optimization, meta tags, and alt text for images, aligning with best practices to boost organic search visibility.
Week 6
Testing, Final Adjustments, and Launch
  • Testing: Conducted extensive testing across different browsers and devices to ensure compatibility and functionality. Addressed any issues found during testing to ensure a seamless user experience.
