How the numbers work

What moves the price up or down

Number of pages

Each service and each main town you cover usually gets its own page. Ten service pages cost more than five because each one needs its own copy, photos and SEO setup.

Content you provide

If you send real job photos and a short description of each service, the build moves faster. If I write everything from scratch, expect the upper end of the range.

Booking and quote tools

A simple quote form is included. Online booking, payments or a customer portal add time and sometimes a monthly fee from the booking tool itself.

What you already have

A redesign keeps your domain and the pages Google already ranks. Moving off Wix or Squarespace adds redirect work so you don't lose the traffic you have.

FAQ

Common questions

How much does a website cost for a small business?

With me, a simple 5 to 6 page service site costs about $1,200 to $2,500, a larger site with a blog $2,500 to $4,500, and a Shopify store $3,500 to $6,000. Agencies usually charge more, and DIY builders cost less upfront but add monthly fees and your own time.

Is the calculator price what I will actually pay?

It's a range, not a quote. After a 15-minute call I give you one fixed number, so the price doesn't creep up halfway through the project.

Do I have to buy a care plan?

No. You can run the site yourself. A care plan is for owners who don't want to deal with hosting, updates and backups. Plans are month to month with one month's notice.

Why is a store more expensive than a service site?

Products, payments, shipping rules and taxes all need setting up and testing. A service site mostly needs to get people to call or request a quote.
